How to wash the bowl?

The whole process of cooking with a miracle device takes place in a special bowl. This container is usually made of aluminum or stainless steel. It differs from ordinary pans - the presence of a persistent non-stick layer.

Coatings that do not allow food burning in miracle technology can be:

  • teflon;
  • ceramic.

Conclusion: the bowl should be washed without the use of scratching (abrasive) products. The container is best handled, not in the dishwasher. Therefore, first of all, we will figure out how to clean the crock-pot. The method will depend on the type of non-stick material.

Teflon

This coating requires a “milder” cleaning agent, since scratches are not allowed on Teflon. The rules of care are simple and they will definitely be in force. The main thing is to remember some of the prerequisites and the sequence of actions.

How to wash a multicooker bowl - instructions:

  1. Before washing the slow cooker, wait until it cools down. To cool the bowl faster, you can get it out of the case.
  2. Wash the container like ordinary dishes, using ordinary dishwashing liquid.
  3. In the process of washing, add a few drops of lemon juice to the water - this will eliminate the unpleasant odor.
  4. Wipe the clean bowl thoroughly, especially the outside, as it is in contact with the heating element.

Important! Some manufacturers recommend that after cooking, boil half a lemon in a container for 10-15 minutes, turn on the “Steamed” mode, and then proceed to washing the multicooker.

Ceramic coating

This coating is afraid of chips, so you need to get the bowl carefully, do not drop it and do not knock on it. The rules for caring for such material are as follows:

  1. Wash the container by hand with products that do not contain caustic acids and alkalis.
  2. A corrugated ceramic bottom is best rubbed slightly, but not with a hard sponge.
  3. If the contamination is strong enough, then soak the surface with a gel that dissolves grease well.

Important! Ceramic spraying cannot be cleaned with soda. Saving on a dishwashing detergent is not worth it, since this part of the multicooker spoils much faster than all other elements, and buying a new one will cost much more than buying a gel.

How to clean the case and cover?

Another element that requires attention when solving the problem of how to wash a slow cooker is the case itself. The difficulty lies in the fact that since the multicooker is an electric appliance, it should never be immersed in water.

During normal, proper operation, the housing must always be kept clean. This can be achieved as follows:

  1. Remove drops of water and grease that accidentally hit the plastic surface with a soft, damp cloth.
  2. Wipe the housing dry.
  3. Wipe the inside of the lid with a sponge or microfiber cloth.
  4. When using cleaning products, give preference to gels.

Important! During the cleaning process, it may be necessary to remove the cover. Not all multicooker models have this feature. In our separate publication you will find out how to remove the lid from the multicooker Redmond.

What else to clean in a slow cooker?

A few more details require personal care. Therefore, you need to know how to clean the slow cooker to ensure the perfect cleanliness of the appliance and the delicious aroma of dishes.

Important! Cooking in a slow cooker takes little time and requires minimal effort. This is especially important in the morning when everyone is in a bustle going to work, to school, etc. Your assistant will be able to pamper you tasty and healthy breakfasts.

Steam valve

To wash the steam valve:

  1. Disassemble it.
  2. Apply a special gel to the sponge and clean the element.
  3. Rinse the valve in clean water and dry thoroughly.

Important! The valve design also includes a retainer and sealing gum. They can be easily reached, but to prevent them from deforming, do not stretch. In the same way, you can wash the internal disk removed from the cover.

Condensate tank

Some multicooker models have a container that collects condensate. After cooking, this element must be removed, pour water out of it and washed.

Fixed cover

If before washing the multicooker, you find that your model has a fixed cover, then use the steam mode to clean it:

  1. At the bottom of the bowl pour 1 tbsp. water.
  2. Add a slice of lemon or squeeze the juice.
  3. Turn the unit on for 15 minutes in the “Steam cooking” mode.
  4. Wrap the multicooker body in thick cellophane so that the lid remains on the outside.
  5. Tilt the machine forward.
  6. Wipe the lid with a soft washcloth or sponge with dishwashing gel.
  7. Rinse off the foam.

Important! Moisture should not be inside the cellophane wrapper so as not to wet the opening assembly and the housing.

Heating element

Wash the internal heating element separately. Under the stream of water it can not be substituted. Just sponge and dry.

If food is stuck to the heating element, then use a brush with hard bristles for cleaning. All parts of the multicooker are assembled together only when they are completely dry.

Important! Along with the main elements of the device, wash and accessories:

  • spatulas;
  • spoons;
  • steaming containers;
  • fryer grids.
