Basically, all floor cleaners come in the form of a liquid or concentrate for dissolution with water. They contain the following components:

  • Surface active substances - they cope well with pollution;

Of course, their composition depends on the brands and manufacturers. But some may still contain soda, which disinfects and destroys microbes, chlorine.

Important! If you have a lot of dirt, still use linoleum floor cleaning agent as suggested by the manufacturer. Do not increase the concentration so as not to damage the coating.

Ceramic tile

Do not use liquid soap to clean the floor tiles. It contains a lot of fat - it leaves bright stains on the tile, which are difficult to remove, and sometimes completely impossible. For tiles, it is better to take products that contain acids - they remove dirt well and also kill germs.

Important! Professional ceramic tile floor cleaning products have an anti-slip effect. Its action begins after the floor dries. The product forms an invisible film that slows down the appearance of dirt and protects against damage.

Laminate

When choosing a laminate cleaner, remember that it should be pH neutral. In addition, it is forbidden to wash the laminate with abrasive products, as they can damage the coating.

Folk remedies

If there is no time to run to the store for detergents, you can also wash the floor with improvised means. Sometimes such substances will be much more effective than special household chemicals, while they will ensure the safe use of the coating and can even contribute to minor restoration of the material and extend its service life.

Wooden painted floors

Floor cleanerThe following sequence of actions will help you get rid of stains on wooden painted floors:

  1. Take warm water.
  2. Add vinegar. The ratio should be this: 1 tablespoon of vinegar per 1 liter of water.
  3. Rinse the floor with a solution.
  4. After it dries, cover with linseed oil, in one layer.

Unpainted wooden floors

  1. Take a soap-alkaline solution. You can also put 1 tablespoon of turpentine in the solution.
  2. Cover the base.
  3. And then wipe with a stiff brush.

Linoleum

Preferably, wash once a week with lukewarm water and soap.

Important! You can not clean linoleum with turpentine, gasoline, alcohol or ammonia - they have a destructive effect on the outer layer.

If you see pollution on linoleum, it has darkened or lost its luster, do so:

  1. Take a wool rag.
  2. Moisten with warm water.
  3. Squeeze well.
  4. Wipe the coating.

Important! Every three months, it is advisable to rub linoleum with linseed oil using a soft cloth.

Tile

An excellent detergent for tiles is a solution of washing powder:

  1. Dissolve washing powder with warm water well.
  2. Apply it to the surface of the floor.
  3. Rinse with lukewarm water.
  4. Wipe dry.
